If after receiving Core services, the customer is unable to obtain employment or is employed and requires further services to obtain or retain employment to achieve self-sufficiency, the individual may be enrolled in Intensive services.
Services include:
• Comprehensive assessment of skills and service needs thru PESCO vocational assessment
• Development of an individual employment plan (IEP)
• Individual and group counseling and career planning
• Case Management

213 individuals received intensive services from 7-1-02 thru 6-30-03 PESCO vocational assessment was completed for 175 Adults/Dislocated Workers and 38 Youth. The following employers used the PESCO assessment as a pre-screen in their application process for employment; Seneca Co DJFS, Fostoria Industries, and Atlas.

If the use of Intensive Services does not result in the customer obtaining or retaining employment to achieve self-sufficiency, the customer may qualify for Training Services.
Training Services are available to Adults and Dislocated Workers who:
Are unable to obtain or retain self-sufficient employment thru Intensive Services
Are determined to be in need of training and have the skills and qualifications to successfully participate
Select programs directly linked to employment opportunities/demand occupations

Supportive Services are available to customers enrolled in WIA funded activities, who have demonstrated;
Customers who are not eligible for support services will be referred to other community agencies/resources.
Available Services:
Child Care Reimbursement
TRIPS or SCAT vouchers for up to 2 months
Mileage Reimbursement if the destination is 15 miles or more from residence
State license/Certification (i.e. nurses, therapists, etc)
Commercial Driver's License Costs (permit, license, road test)
Car repairs up to $500, with payments to go directly to auto repair shop
Work or interview related clothing/supplies
Immunizations required for work or training programsLimitations:

Is a low-income individual and is an individual who is one or more of the following: Deficient in basic literacy skills, a school drop-out, homeless, a runaway, or a foster child, pregnant or a parent, an offender, requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment. An older youth age 18 to 21 may be served either under the youth, adult or dislocated worker.)
Youth Services are contracted through WSOS. Available services are based on the required 10 Program Elements:
Tutoring, study skills training, and instruction leading to secondary school completion (includes dropout prevention strategies)
Alternative secondary school offerings
Summer employment opportunities directly linked to academic and occupational learning
Paid and unpaid work experiences, including Internships and Job Shadowing
Occupational skills training
Leadership development opportunities, which may include community service and peer-centered activities encouraging responsibility and other positive social behaviors during non-school hours; the development of soft skills, decision making, team work and other activities as defined
Supportive Services
Adult mentoring for a duration of a least twelve (12)months, that may occur both during and after program participation
Follow up services
Comprehensive guidance and counseling, which may include drug and alcohol abuse counseling, and referral as appropriate to the needs of the youth.
